The Sun, The Moon, and the Singing Tree

  • Midtown Park 2811 Travis Street Houston, TX, 77006 United States (map)

The culmination of a residency at three of Houston’s Language Immersion Magnet Schools, this concert features three musical interpretations of folk tales presented for a young audience. These pieces were written by local composers, and were inspired by folk tales originally from the languages taught in each Immersion School: Spanish (Wharton Dual Language Academy), Arabic (Arabic Immersion Magnet School), and Mandarin (Mandarin Immersion Magnet School).
