Asia Society Texas and Taiwan Academy present Ferment-asia! This immersive show combines theatre, music, and food to tell a heartwarming story about the nostalgia of mom's homemade pickles. Sit, stand, or wander freely as performers curate a live musical masterpiece around the audience — complete with the sounds of chopping and pickling vegetables.

The show opens with the classic Taiwanese pop song "Tian Mi Mi" ("Sweet as Honey"), woven throughout the performance, and invites guests into an interactive whisper game with the musicians midway through. The performance builds into a full karaoke-style sing-along and dance party, with lyrics on screen for everyone to join in. Enjoy a pickled food experience to complete the sensory feast!

Guests from both Saturday performances are welcome to enjoy the reception between the first and second shows.
